Smelly Pee is Just One of the Souvenirs to Get at This Year's Asparagus Festival

April has arrived, and even though it’s already been spring for a week or so, now it feels like spring on the calendar. That means that food festivals will begin popping up here and there, and one of the first of the season is the Asparagus Festival in Stockton, California. So mark your calendars for April 15, 16, and 17.

Even if asparagus isn’t your favorite food options, we’re thinking that you’ll find somewhere to enjoy the vegetable. Take a stroll down the festival’s Asparagus Alley where last year they cooked up around 36,000 pounds of asparagus in like a zillion different ways for festival attendees. Expect asparagus burritos, asparagus pastas, asparagus steak sandwiches, and of course—plenty of deep-fried asparagus.
