This weekend, Safe Haven, based on the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name, will take movie-goers on a tour of Southport, N.C., where the movie was filmed last year.

Where To Eat

Safe Haven stars Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough had an on-screen date at one Southport's most popular restaurants, Ports of Call Bistro & Market, located at 116 N Howe Street. The restaurant serves a Mediterranean lunch and dinner menu, including tapas you can order at the bar. They also serve a traditional Southern Brunch on Sunday. Josh Duhamel and Fergie Got Lost on the Fourth in North Carolina

While some celebs, like George Clooney and Zac Efron, left the country for the Fourth of July, Josh Duhamel and Fergie spent the 4th at one the country's most patriotic parties—the North Carolina Fourth of July Festival.

The annual festival takes place in Southport, N.C. where they don't just spend one day celebrating Independence Day, but a whole week. Daily events include parades, fireworks, concerts, and tours.
