San Diego Travel Guide
Believe it or not, but as of a few weeks ago there were absolutely no Jack in the Box locations within airports. We say "as of a few weeks ago," because the first has just barely opened, and you'll find it at San Diego International Airport.
Head to SAN's Terminal 1 to order a Jumbo Jack, but it's not a problem if you’re arriving or departing from Terminal 2 East. That terminal gets a location as well, as the fast food chain focuses on some of the best sellers and essentials at the airport—as in don’t expect the full menu.

Your travels to and through San Diego just got that much better, as there’s a new airport lounge now doing its thing at the airport. Airspace Lounge is a pay-to-play rest and relaxation zone for any and all travelers, so there’s no need to be a frequent flyer or hold some kind of special credit card to gain entry—although those with an American Express Platinum Card can visit for free.
The new lounge does its thing between Terminal 2 East and West at San Diego International Airport, and its location should be convenient for those traveling with as many as 12 different airlines.
Comic fans will have a brief reprieve from the stress of purchasing San Diego Comic-Con badges for 2014.
Yesterday, organizers announced they’re postponing the always chaotic ticket-buying process for preregistered attendees until early next year so they can “fine-tune” the online system.

LeBron James finally tied the knot with his high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson in San Diego on Saturday.
The couple, who have been together for more than ten years and have two kids, decided one day wasn't enough to celebrate their nuptials so they planned a whole weekend's worth of activities.

When it comes to travel there’s new hotel smell, new airplane smell, and of course—the scent that started it all—new car smell. If you’re into the fresh and crisp odor of chemicals, paint, and industrial adhesives—we mean that in a good way—look no further than San Diego. The folks over at United have just finished putting the last bits and pieces together on a brand new airline lounge.
Just last week the latest United Club debuted over at Terminal 2 within San Diego International Airport. It’s the third one to offer up United’s new look and take on the airline lounge idea, so expect things to look and feel a little different—in a good way.

Much of the new stuff we see in the rental car market has to do with new ways to rent cars, share cars, and borrow cars; however, the latest news from Hertz is taking the traditional rental car model to the next level. For once what they’re doing has nothing to do with the rental car, but it’s more about the whole process.
Over in California they just announced a new look to their rental car counter, as they have just unveiled what they’re calling Road Trip by Hertz over at San Diego Airport. In some ways they have brought the idea of an airline lounge—or business center—to the rental car office, as they have kind of reimagined the way things should work and flow.
Think you've tried a fair share of weird fast food menu items? Think again, as Taco Bell continues to up the ante with their waffle taco. No, making tacos out of Doritos and apple pies out of empanadas isn't enough; this new offering is a "shell" of waffle filled with scrambled eggs, a sausage patty and a side of syrup (460 calories and 30 grams of fat) for $0.89 each.
Taco Bell focused on only five restaurants around the San Diego area for the initial test launch, which included other breakfast items like a yogurt parfait, but the waffle taco has proved so immediately popular that nearly 100 Taco Bells will boast of offering the creation as soon as this weekend.
