A lot of people may try to convince you that Nha Trang, Vietnam, is set to become another luxury resort town in Southeast Asia. It was a regular beach town for many years, after all. With the Evason Hideaway opening their own private island (the Ana Mandara) complete with all sorts of ridiculous oversized spa accoutrements--think a private speedboat to get there and outdoor wood tubs for each bungalow--it may very well be transformed sooner rather than later.

Fine. We can handle the fancy-pants places that are cropping up, but nothing will ever replace the pure, unadulterated joy of watching a bear drive a scooter. That's more refreshing than any seaweed wrap in Nha Trang could ever be.
