Sidewalk cafes are big this time of year in New York, but wouldn't the less-trafficked streets of Red Hook be a more pleasant place for an al fresco lunch than a bustling corner in Chelsea? Not if you're filming The Real World and want a cool shot!
The cast was seen lunching Tuesday at still-sizzling Cafeteria, which New York magazine once praised for its people-watching:
You're sure to run into someone you know, or at least recognize from US Weekly.
The real question is why the cast wasn't at Delicatessen, the brand new SoHo spot from the same owners.
Have your own sighting to report? Fill us in, or send us a tweet.

We usually don't get on board with chain restaurants, especially in New York, where nothing is a bigger food sin than eating at Pizza Hut instead of a local pizzeria or visiting Subway instead of a corner sandwich shop.
We're excited though, by Empanada Joe's, a new mini-chain setting up shop in Manhattan.

September around the corner means it's time for a dose of cultural inspiration pronto. Head to the Museum of Modern Art through September 15 to see Dalí: Painting and Film, which explores the mega-role that films and cinema played in the artist's work.
With more than 130 paintings, drawings, scenarios and films by Salvador himself, the exhibit delves into his true passion--cinema--which served to ignite his creativity in other media. Collaborations of his work with various filmmakers are staged right alongside relevant paintings and drawings.
This one's not for the faint of heart though, as Dalí had an eye for the macabre. To wit: Un Chien Andalou, a film made together with Luis Buñuel, features the gag-worthy sequence of a human eye being slit by a razor. Creepy!
Oh, and can't make it to the museum with your busy fall schedule--or just want to save yourself $20? Check out the online exhibit instead.

It was a beautiful day for a fake flight: The sky was blue, the sun was bright and the Airtrain was quickly depositing 1,000 people onto JetBlue's new turf behind Eero Saarinen's iconic TWA Terminal at JFK.
Saturday's event, the JetBlue T5 Trial Run, involved groups of New York-area TrueBlue members (us), JetBlue family and press who would put the terminal through the paces without actually flying anyone anywhere.
Last week when we received the email confirming our place in Group A--scheduled to start the first run-through at 9 am--our stomach sank at the thought of having to be out on the A train to JFK in the wee hours of a Saturday morning. But to the airport we went!

Balearic babe Rafael Nadal was recently named the top tennis player in the world, but he may have to fight off the former number one, Roger Federer, at the US Open, which starts Monday. Don King--who is apparently still relevant!--is even promoting the potential final as the "Grapple in the Apple."
And while we're certainly interested in the tennis--especially after watching James Blake thump Federer in Beijing--there's plenty more happening out at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, including the all important question of where we'll grab a bite.
Luckily, Terminal 5 isn't the only spot in Queens with a bunch of intriguing dining options...

We're still waiting for our sneak preview of JetBlue's new Terminal 5 at JFK, but a video tour just released by the restaurant group handling all the dining has us salivating.
Top on our list of must-visits is the cavern-like Piquillo, a tapas spot with a massive bar and a great looking design. From the looks of things, we wouldn't mind popping into Aeronuova or JFK Steak nearby, either. The most outlandish design is at Deep Blue Sushi, pictured, which reminds us a bit of that overwrought fusion place from the beginning of "Garden State."
We can't embed the video, but you can find it here.

Didn't she see the movie? Scarlett Johansson may call L.A. home with fiance Ryan Reynolds, but she's taking a page from the Carrie Bradshaw playbook and planning a New York wedding -- albeit medium-sized.
The couple had planned to wed earlier this year but are waiting till the winter so Johansson's twin brother, who works for Barack Obama's presidential campaign, might have some time off. A location hasn't been named yet, but director Woody Allen is expected to attend after working with Scarlett in three of his last four movies.
Of course, Johansson isn't really pulling a Bradshaw because she grew up in New York, making it only fitting that she would wed there. But we'd avoid the Public Library... just in case.

Setting foot into J. Crew's new Tribeca Mens Shop, you might feel like you just walked into a Wes Anderson movie. Housed in the former Liquor Bar space, the store does the preppy, Americana, boarding school style to a tee.
Mixing fantasy and reality, shopping and hanging out, the store envelops shoppers in a secret world of club ties, loafers and booze. The store is J. Crew's first men's only location, and mixes J. Crew products and a selection of partner items. Store designer Andy Spade was inspired by the White Horse Tavern in New York City's West Village and kept as much of the bar vibe as possible. You can even pour yourself a drink while browsing.
The Mens Shop opens this weekend. Future plans include seminars on wine, chess and figure drawing based on Andy Spade's forthcoming book What a Man Should Know.
