The Paris Air Show Is Already Underway, But You Can't Visit 'Til Friday

The world’s best air show—and like most important—kicks off this week just outside Paris and there’s a whole bunch of stuff to see. Right now things are only open to airplane hotshots, as there is plenty of wheeling and dealing taking place. Companies like Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier—among others—are all working hard to confirm orders and schmooze their way into long term contracts for plenty of airplanes.

So far it seems like Airbus has come out as the star of the show, as they’ve announced like around $20 billion in confirmed orders and sales of new airplanes. They’ve got plenty of Airbus 320neo aircraft on the books now, and they easily reached their goal of around 500 sales—40 of which were ordered by JetBlue.
