Easy-to-Reach Skiing: Mont Sainte Anne

We really like skiing and boarding. But that doesn't mean we want to spend our whole vacation just getting to the mountain. Our Ski Areas Near Airports Map will help you maximize your time on the slopes.
A friend of Jaunted wrote in to remind us that we haven't yet put any East Coast skiing options on our map. So today's pick is Mont Sainte Anne, just outside Quebec City.
American's will need passports, but flying to YQB from, say, New York, is quicker than getting out west. And Quebec offers a lot more culture than the typical ski town, with French food, French wine and, at least for the next few weeks, plenty of continental Christmas charm.
Lest you think East Coast skiing is weak, Sainte Anne offers up plenty of glades, dangerously steep double black diamond trails and a 3.6 mile long run. And since the mountain is at a lower altitude than those out west, you may actually be able to suss down the whole thing without stopping to catch your breath. Single day lift tickets go for $50 until December 22, when rates go up by $6.
