Take the David Arquette Tour of Michigan as He Films 'Scream 4'
David Arquette is loving his summer in Michigan, and he's not afraid to tweet all about it. The actor is staying in Ann Arbor with his wife and co-star, Courtney Cox, while they film Scream 4 at various locations around the state.
When he's not on the set, David is out and about trying all that Ann Arbor has to offer, and he's passing on his favorite things to his Twitter followers. So far, he's had breakfast at The Broken Egg in Ann Arbor, which called "the best breakfast in town", he's played games at Pinball Pete's, he took Courteney on a date night at their "favorite restaurant EVE in Ann Arbor" and had lunch at Zingerman's Deli, which he says, "ROCKS."
David likes the state so much that he even designed a t-shirt in its honor. Arquette, along with Ben Harper and David Bedwell, owns a clothing line called Propr, and their new line includes a shout out to MI. Arquette says the new t-shirt is, “more of a graphic T that features (University of) Michigan football colors and cool numbers 1837, the date when Michigan became a state,” he says. “It’s got a really fun feel. It’s a nice nod to the great state of Michigan.”

Obama Zips to Two Different Ends of the Country in Two Days
Two weekends ago, President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle headed to Asheville, NC for a little R&R, but this weekend he made up double time for that by flying to two different parts of the country for two very different reasons.
First stop was Ann Arbor, Michigan to give the graduation commencement speech at the University of Michigan and to accept an honorary Doctor of Laws degree. Too bad the most he saw of the place was the stadium and Detroit Metro Airport. Do you know who gave the commencement address at our college graduation? Studs Terkel. While Studs was a great man, he didn't jet-set nearly as much as Obama does.

Football Rivalry Travel: Buckeyes And Wolverines Ready To Rumble
Professional football has arrived and the World Series is pretty cool, but more importantly for some, college football is going strong. Here’s the scoop on just one of the country’s best rivalries to help your sports travel planning.
· Rivalry Match-Up: The Ohio State University at The University of Michigan on November 21
These two schools hate one another even though the teams aren’t as competitive as they used to be. Let’s just say they are both in a rebuilding period—especially Michigan. The teams have been battling it out since the 1930s, with the winner of the game often winning the Big Ten Conference and heading out to the Rose Bowl. Some even refer to this rivalry as simply The Game, so it’s pretty clear that this is a big one. Ohio State has won the last five games in a row, but Wolverine fans can always hope that this is their year to take home the win.

Top Chef's Eve Aronoff Brings The World To Your Plate In Ann Arbor

Even though Eve Aronoff's hopes of being named the next "Top Chef" were dashed on Episode Two, owing to a sub-par shrimp and avocado ceviche, the Ann Arbor chef still boasts an impressive résumé. A graduate of Paris' Le Cordon Bleu program, restauranteur in her own right, and cookbook author, she's known for bringing the world to the plate by fusing traditional French methods with exotic flavors.
Her restaurant, the appropriately named eve, opened in 2003 and reflects her worldly approach to cooking. Everything is seasonal and Slow Food Movement-approved, so expect ingredients to be sourced from the area's best farmers though her influences come from far flung corners of the world, including Africa, Cuba, and various Asian countries.

Catch Hilary Swank Filming in Ann Arbor

Thanks to some sweet tax incentives, Michigan has seen over 70 films come and go over the past year. But this week, the state’s star wattage got turned up a notch thanks to Hillary Swank who is in Ann Arbor filming scenes for “Betty Anne Waters”, the true story of a woman that put herself through law school to defend her wrongfully accused brother. Over the weekend, Hilary was spotted having dinner at Angelo’s on E. Catherine St and she can be found filming at the University of Michigan today.
Last fall, we tracked Michigan’s filming bonanza in our Chasing Michigan series but back then the most star power we saw was Sean Astin. It’s not that we don’t love Sean Astin, but this month, the A-Listers have landed. Swank will be joined by George Clooney in the next few weeks when he begins filming “Up in the Air” in Detroit. So, if you’re in Michigan this month, watch out for Oscar winners, paparazzi and the occasional celebrity tantrum.
If you have any tips about where else movies or TV shows are filming, send them our way at tips@jaunted.com.

People are Strange

For a college town, Ann Arbor is famous for quite a few things: A historical football stadium, Zingerman's Deli, even the Has Dash. Are tiny doorways for magical fairies about to be added to the list? God, we hope not.
Over the course of the last year, tiny doors have appeared on buildings all across Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor's very own fairy expert--though he denies making the doors--claims that they are appearing because fairies have been displaced from their pastoral roots and are now acclimating to the urban environment. Further information on the fairy door are available here.
We can't wait until the fairy tour gets combined with the tailgate parties for this year's Michigan-Michigan State game.
